A major U. S. drugmaker has been sued by the federal government for allegedly promoting the painkilling drug Celebrex.
The federal government has alleged that Teva Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc., and the U. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) overrode the approval of Celebrex (celecoxib) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in May 2014, after it filed a petition in the U. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
